UK-based insurer RSA has suspended three senior executives and warned investors its full-year operating result will be £70mn below current market expectations after it discovered problems in its Irish claims and finance functions.
The company said it had suspended RSA Insurance Ireland CEO Phillip Smith, the unit's CFO Rory O'Connor and its claims director Peter Burke pending the outcome of an investigation into the unit's claims and finance function after a routine internal audit revealed "issues".
