Specialist cat reinsurer RenaissanceRe has warned that it expects the net impact of hurricane Sandy on its financial results to be "significant".
Commenting as it reported Q3 operating profits that were below Wall Street expectations, the Bermudian highlighted a lack of data that was leading to "significant uncertainty" around the impact of the event.
