Jardine Lloyd Thompson's arms-length London market wholesale broker Lloyd & Partners increased its profits by a third in 2010.
In the face of a softening market and fierce competition from the "big three", the broker posted trading profits of £14.3mn - up 32 percent on the preceding year.
Revenues in the same period grew by 11 percent to £61.6mn, meaning that the company's gross profit margin widened from 19.8 percent to 23.2 percent.
