Covington & Burling (C&B), the US law firm that specialises in representing policyholders in proposed schemes of arrangement, has had its motion to launch a counter-appeal of the controversial Scottish Lion scheme dismissed.
C&B and Scottish Lion met in a Scottish court on 24 March to thrash out the allocation of substantial legal costs that have piled up after the Scottish Lion scheme was rejected at first instance and then overturned on appeal.
