Montpelier joins peers with $40mn Thai loss and $26mn creep

Montpelier Re expects to fall to a fourth quarter net operating loss of $0.25 to $0.35 a share as its bottom line is dented by $40mn of Thai flood losses and $26mn of creep on earlier cat events, partially offset by $18mn of prior-year reserve releases.
