Market dodges hull loss on Chilean air crash

Aviation underwriters will not be on the hook to pay claims after a Chilean air force plane was lost over the pacific, according to market sources.

21 people are feared dead after a Casa-212 plane went missing after making two failed attempts to land at an airport on the Juan Fernandez Islands in the Pacific Ocean, Chilean defence minister Andres Allamand said.
