Markel in fresh non-insurance takeover
A subsidiary of New York-listed P&C insurer Markel Corporation has acquired a majority interest in WI Holdings Inc (Weldship) from RAF Industries.
Weldship is a privately held company headquartered in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with a division, Texas Trailer Corporation, in Gainesville, Texas.
Weldship manufactures leases and sells high pressure tube trailers, certified ISO containers and other gas and liquid containers to the private and state sector, as well as domestic and international markets.
