Investors are urged to be cautious in managing their London market exposures during the US hurricane season (1 June to 30 November) as Lloyd's stocks have often struggled to outperform during the summer months, reflecting their significant exposure to US cat risk and the equity markets' aversion to uncertainty.
But of course the past is not always a guide to future
behaviour and, indeed, the relatively strong performance of the
quoted London/Lloyd's stocks in May and June was itself
unusual...
