Standard & Poor's (S&P) has upgraded protection and indemnity (P&I) insurer Skuld from A- to A with a stable outlook, based on its strong underwriting performance and capitalisation.
The upgrade was due largely to the insurer's diversified product offering and platforms, including its 2011 Lloyd's launch, Syndicate 1897, which produced a "satisfactory" result in its first year, S&P said.
