Lloyd’s blue chips price up in second capacity auction

Average volumes traded for syndicate capacity fell in the second Lloyd's auction this week, although pricing for the perceived blue chips remained strong.

At £32.6mn, overall capacity traded was down 19 percent on the second auction of 2011 (£40.2mn), and down on the £40.6mn that traded in the first auction of this year, with buyers continuing to outnumber willing sellers.
