Lightyear Capital has withdrawn from the auction for Lloyd's insurer Jubilee to leave the path clear for a possible head-to-head bidding war between Ryan Specialty and Torus, The Insurance Insider understands.
New York-based investor Lightyear was understood to be on a shortlist of interested parties to have made it to the second round, along with the Pat Ryan-led Ryan Specialty and Bermudian-headquartered Torus.
