A New York judge has rejected a former client's attempt to deny the company directors of defunct broker-dealer MF Global access to up to $30mn in insurance cover for legal defence costs.
On 30 April, Judge Martin Glenn denied the injunction request filed by three plaintiffs, including Sapere Wealth Management, which sought to prevent the insurance funds from being released. The plaintiffs are appealing the judge's 10 April decision to allow officials access to their insurance policies.
