The Sukhoi Superjet plane crash in Indonesia yesterday (9 May) is set to cost hull insurers $34.6mn, sister title Inside FAC revealed earlier.
Sukhoi's programme, which is placed by Lockton and led by Global Aerospace, is understood to provide cover in excess of the full hull value of the destroyed aircraft.
Inside FAC also noted that the crash could land liability insurers with a significant loss.
