The share price in Italian powerhouse Generali is now up 10
percent following the ousting of CEO Giovanni Perissinotto by
disaffected shareholders.
Shares in Generali were trading at EUR9.335 at 9.30am UK time (6 June), up 9.96 percent from the closing price last week of EUR8.49, after Perissinotto "resigned" at the weekend.
A special meeting of the board of directors voted to remove Perissinotto on Saturday (2 June), citing a need to "bring about change in the company's management"...
