GEICO Corp's high profile television commercials saw the Berkshire Hathaway auto insurance subsidiary once again outspend its US P&C peers on advertising in 2011.
The insurer spent just shy of $1bn last year on television, radio, online and billboard advertising last year, including its talking gecko campaign, according to data from SNL.
