Broker Arthur J Gallagher International is to buy London-based managing general agency (MGA) Woodbrook Underwriting Agencies, as tipped by The Insurance Insider yesterday (22 February).
Woodbrook, a Lloyd's coverholder that writes approximately £50mn of London market premium at present, will be merged into Gallagher International's current MGA platform, OIM Underwriting, according to Gallagher.
Woodbrook head Chris Blackwell and his team will continue to trade under the name of Woodbrook Underwriting from their existing offices in Essex and at Lloyd's.
