Following swiftly in Glacier Re's footsteps, specialist UK insurer Ecclesiastical also plans to begin the run-off of its London market business.
Ecclesiastical - which provides coverage for churches and charities - plans to cease underwriting on the existing portfolio of its subsidiary Ecclesiastical Underwriting Management Ltd (EUML), which was set up in 1989 to write worldwide property risks. The unit will stop writing new business and renewals from 30 September.
