The growing catastrophe bill from US storms in 2012 could be set
to expand by another $2bn following the recent hailstorms which
struck the Dallas area.
According to local trade body the Southwestern Insurance
Information Service, insured losses as a result of the hailstorms
on 13 June the Dallas area are expected to cost in the
$1.5bn-$2.5bn range, based on the volume of claims already filed.
