Lloyd's insurer Chaucer is opening a new office in Buenos Aires to write facultative property business, as it looks to exploit post-Chile rate hardening.
The London-listed insurer's Argentinean office will write business out of Syndicate 1084 from 1 October.
Uwe Fischer will head up the new office, where he will be joined by Alejandro Ferrin and Guido Wolman. All three were previously colleagues at Glacier Re.
