Pacific Hurricane Jova made landfall in Mexico this morning at 5am (GMT) as a weak category 2 storm, according to the US National Hurricane Center.
The storm hit the coast near the town of Tomatlán, which has a population of roughly 10,000.
Tomatlán is approximately 85km south of the resort city of Puerto Vallarta (population 255,000) and 160km north of Manzanillo (population 110,000).
Sustained wind speeds of 98mph were recorded as the storm made landfall, but as of 9am (GMT)...
