The European Commission has published the Quantitative Impact Study 5 (QIS 5) spreadsheets and perhaps The Insurance Insider is alone in finding something ghoulish about the feeding frenzy of consultants.

There is a rush to convince their (re)insurer clients that they are too incompetent or busy to complete the exercise without vast amounts of expensive assistance from... the learned consultants.

Between now and the completion deadline in November 2010, the consultants expect to make a killing.
