Aon Benfield is aiming to place $700mn of facultative business
annually through its new e-portal FAConnect.
The broking web portal aims to bring together reinsurers with
insurers looking to place small individual risks that currently
cannot be taken to market because of the transaction costs.
Aon Benfield places around $3bn or 18-20 percent of the overall fac market and hopes to transact between 20-30 percent of its business through the new electronic vehicle within a couple of years.
