Aon agrees $10.5mn overtime settlement

Aon has agreed a $10.5mn settlement with current and former employees who accused the broker of denying them overtime payments.

A class action suit covering 534 members was preparing to go to trial in a California state court after it won class action status in May 2010.

However the settlement agreement was approved by Judge Elihu Berle on 28 June.

Lawyers for the plaintiffs said they were "extremely pleased". Aon declined to comment...
