AmWins pursues Ryan’s RSG for damages
US broker Amwins has filed a fresh lawsuit against Pat Ryan's wholesale start-up R-T Specialty to pursue damages for "misappropriation of trade secrets" after a senior broker defected.
AmWins has already won a court-ordered injunction against Ryan Specialty Group (RSG), the parent of R-T Specialty, and Dave Austin, the former AmWins senior broker who jumped ship earlier this year to join the new Ryan venture.
The new filing demands punitive damages, claiming that Austin used trade information to divert accounts...
