Amlin, Hiscox and Hardy have come out as the top performers at Lloyd's in Shore Capital's annual post-results note on the market's listed insurers.
Shore Capital analyst Eamonn Flanagan strongly endorsed the two high cap insurers and their smaller competitor, while placing question marks over the performance of Omega and Novae.
The assessment came as Hiscox founder Robert Hiscox, in his annual chairman's statement, rounded on investors and "cynical" commentators for depressing the value of listed insurers.
