Amlin is one of only two Lime Street insurers with a green light under the Lloyd's Solvency II "traffic light" scheme, The Insurance Insider can reveal.
The news follows Lloyd's recent increase of its cost estimate for implementing the European regulatory capital regime. Last month, Lloyd's chairman Lord Levene said he expected the market to spend some £300mn before the 2013 start date.
