AM Best gives reinsurers a stable outlook amid pricing pressure
Ratings agency AM Best says the outlook for reinsurers is stable, with the industry showing strong performance and capitalisation overall.
The challenge, however, will be to maintain this discipline under pricing pressure and as reserves dry up, according to AM Best's general manager of analytics Miles Trotter.
"Against the odds the reinsurance industry is at a stage of relative calm," said Trotter yesterday (Sunday 12 September) at the Monte Carlo Rendez-Vous.
