Allied World is back in the race for Transatlantic Holding as part of the Stone Point Capital-led consortium to buy the US reinsurer, The Insurance Insider can reveal.
According to sources, the Swiss-domiciled (re)insurer has joined the consortium that also includes hedge fund JC Flowers and Bermudian run-off firm Enstar alongside the former private equity arm of broking giant Marsh.
