Addesso to succeed Taranto at Everest in 2014
Joseph Taranto, the long-serving chief executive of Everest Re, will relinquish this role at the end of 2013 to be succeeded by Everest's current president and CFO Dominic Addesso.
Taranto had previously announced that he would retire at the end of 2011 to hand the reins to then-president and COO Ralph Jones III. But he was forced to reverse this position in autumn 2010 when Jones suddenly resigned.
