Lloyd's insurers must face Florida hurricane coverage suit
A US district judge has quashed Lloyd's (re)insurers'
attempts to dismiss a Florida property damage coverage dispute that
has wide-ranging implications for surplus lines insurers in the
state.
The class action names almost every managing agent at Lloyd's
as a defendant, including all syndicates that provided property and
casualty insurance for policies issued in Florida during the
2005-2006 period.
