Bermuda-domiciled Lloyd's and international underwriter
Omega Insurance Holdings Limited managed to produce a modest
pre-tax profit for 2008, as strong investment returns offset
catastrophe-fuelled losses in its underwriting.
The London AIM-quoted (re)insurer also revealed that after 26 years
at the box John Robinson, the active underwriter of its flagship
Syndicate 958 at Lloyd's, is to stand down to concentrate on
his role as group chief underwriting officer, as the firm continues
