After a lengthy impasse, Russian-backed private equity firm Pamplona Capital Management finally upped its shareholding in Lloyd's insurer Chaucer to 16.27 percent on Friday (23 October).
The London-based investment firm had been awaiting approval from the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) to increase its interest in Chaucer from 9.99 percent after agreeing purchase deals with existing shareholders.
