The ability of cedants to access facultative reinsurance
capacity should be improved with the launch of a pioneering new
online trading platform, according to the industry's largest
fac broker, Aon Benfield Fac.
The intermediary has today (3 September) launched FAConnect, a web
portal that links fac buyers to capacity providers and, by reducing
the frictional transaction costs, should provide greater liquidity
for small-to-medium value facultative placements.
