Aon Benfield finally decides UK specialty casualty structure with Gander appointment

The delicate structure of Aon Benfield's London-based specialty casualty division has been determined with a new head, the former Gallagher Re CEO Simon Gander, The Insurance Insider can reveal.

Gander will now lead the unit reporting to David Ledger, the head of the UK property and casualty business.

The reinsurance broker's UK specialty casualty division was the last unit to have its reporting structure determined following the completion of Aon Corp's £844mn acquisition of Benfield Group in late November.
