Despite what appears an increasingly benign 2011 storm season for US reinsurers, Lloyd's is likely to post a full-year combined ratio of 105 percent or more, predicts Standard & Poor's (S&P).
Last month the ratings agency affirmed Lloyd's A+ financial strength rating, while also bestowing the Society with near-hagiographic praise.
"The more recent success of the Corporation is evidence of the effectiveness of increasingly robust performance, risk-monitoring processes, tools and benchmarks against which managing agents are assessed," explained S&P.
