Run-off deal legislation gains momentum in Oklahoma

Oklahoma's proposed law on insurance business transfers (IBTs) could be on Governor Mary Fallin's desk as soon as May, according to a state insurance official.

The state Senate several days ago decided to "strike the title" on Senate bill 1101 and is expected to vote on the legislation in three to four weeks, said Buddy Combs, the state's deputy insurance commissioner and legislative liaison.

Assuming it passes, the bill would then go to the House of Representatives and if adopted...
