Cat bond rates up less than 5% for remote layers

Rates for remote cat bond layers have only increased slightly following losses from Harvey, Irma and Maria and the Mexican earthquakes, GC Securities told Trading Risk.

The firm said that it believed remote cat bond layers for loss-affected zones were flat to 3 percent up since the losses, although rates on higher-risk layers were showing increases of up to 15 percent.
