Cincinnati Insurance expands collateralised re placement

Cincinnati Insurance expanded a collateralised reinsurance deal to $200mn in size after its $100mn Skyline Re cat bond matured, the company said on an earnings call.

The firm's broker JLT Capital Markets subsequently clarified that $180mn of the limit was placed as a private cat bond, with a further $20mn of three-year collateralised reinsurance cover topping up the insurer's earthquake protection.
