Munich Re has been talking to investors and alternative funds
managers about becoming partners for a potential insurance-linked
securities (ILS) fund management venture, the company confirmed
last week.
The industry's largest reinsurer has had its own internal ILS
fund for five years and said expanding the offering to other
investors was "the next logical step forward".
