Unrated Latvian insurer Balva increases UK solicitors’ market share
Unrated Latvian insurer Balva is set to increase its share of
the UK solicitors' professional indemnity (PI) market by around
half in next week's renewals, The Insurance
Insider has learned.
Bar Professions, which acts as the exclusive broker for Balva, has
increased its client base to 900 from 600 compared to last year, a
senior staff member told an undercover reporter.
Balva's success is likely to reignite interest in the small
share of UK solicitors' business written by unrated carriers...
