Opportunities Fund has reported a 5.3 percent increase in net asset
value to $357.9mn for the first half of the year as investment
gains on its 2012 portfolio offset loss creep from 2011
However, ordinary shareholders who invested at the firm's launch took a net loss of 3.2 percent over the half year after the company fully wrote off its exposure to New Zealand and Japanese earthquake claims, as previously reported.
