The Japanese big three - MS&AD, NKSJ and Tokio Marine - have
disclosed modest increases to their loss estimates for last
year's Thai floods in their results for the three months to 30
June.
The creep was not reported in such a way as to allow a hard number
to be given for the total deterioration, but it was at least 12.1bn
yen ($150mn) and must have been a significant way short of 26.7bn
yen ($340mn).
