A federal judge has dismissed the claims from two former Marsh
& McLennan Companies employees that the broking giant, together
with then-New York attorney general Eliot Spitzer, unfairly
targeted them to take the blame in an investigation into
bid-rigging.
At the court of the southern district of New York, Judge J Paul
Oetken rejected the complaints by plaintiffs William Gilman and
Edward McNenney, which had included accusations of malicious
prosecution, abuse of process and misconduct by an attorney.
