Aon Corp threw down a gauntlet to its rivals MMC and Willis with
a solid fourth quarter in broking revenues and margins enabling it
to pip the analysts' consensus on forecast earnings.
Aon's UK broking business, in particular, posted 6 percent
growth in organic revenues in the final quarter, reversing the
negative trend for recent quarters in its London market operations.
Asia Pacific was even stronger at 7 percent, while Americas and
Europe/Middle East/Africa saw 5 percent growth in organic...
